Meet Morge our new hamster!

This is Morge. We adopted him from Pets at Home. In general I don't like Pets at Home as they get their animals from breeder farms and the animals are prone to diseases because of this. They also sell animals to obviously irresponsible owners and I hate when they sell all the gerbils, for example, in one tank but leave one on it's own. Gerbils should never be sold or kept on their own if it can be avoided. I could go on but I would rant for ages! Anyway, the little card next to Morge's home while he was waiting to be adopted said he was a she, called Tilly and he was around 3 months old. Well, Morge is a boy they always seem to get this bit wrong! We are not used to big hamsters, we have always had the dwarf variety. Love Morge already, he's really tame and funny to watch. Miss my little dwarf hammies though!

I didn't know the song but I just watched a youtube video of it, ahahaha that's one funny song! Suits Morge. Glad you like Morge. Can't even explain how adorable he is you will be able to meet him in January though. Apparently you can get even longer haired hamsters than Morge if you google it. Jazz update - managed to get her to sit on my hand for ages last night while I stroked her and she winked a lot (winking is happiness in gerbils).
